F.P.D. was founded in 2003 thanks to the experience and the partnership of the young founders Antonio Ferrante, Nicola Palo and Franco D’Alessio. Their project was to realize a company suitable for the processing and storage of tomatoes. This idea was born from their families twenty-year experience into tomatoes processing and, in particular, from Mr. Palo Nicola’s experience  as a raw materials purchase manager for the STAR Company in Sarno and for his experience in the management of a nursery specialized in cultivation and supply of tomatoes for processing industries. In 2008, after an increasing mechanization and an improvement of processing techniques, the company obtained a big production success in terms of quality and quantity: in these last years production grew exponentially. To date, the company transforms from 250.000 to 300.000 quintals of industrial tomatoes in the period from July to September: of these about 70.000 quintals are organic tomatoes and the others 15.000 of San Marzano DOP whole peeled tomatoes. Processing work uses about 100 laborers for each turn of 8 hours for a total of 2 turns. Prestigious names of Italian and foreign food industry are important FPD’s customers. Fpd strong points are the flexibility and the packaging of their product, the modernity of their machineries and their constant innovation of working methods: all this is important to increase their quality and quantity standards.
