Ruperossa is a family-run business founded in 2020 in Gangi (Most Beautiful Village in Italy Award in 2014) in the heart of Sicily, inside The Madonie Regional Natural Park.

It was all down to the initiative of a young entrepreneur, Giuseppe Dongarrà.

At Ruperossa we produce and bottle the olive oil which comes from our family estate and which is therefore the fruit of experience and love for our land and passed down from generation to generation.

You can find both centuries-old and young trees in our olive groves. Among the olive trees cultivated at around 600-900 meters above sea level, there are trees which are exclusively Sicilian like Verdello la Nocellara Messinese, Moresca la Biancolilla di Caltabellotta, Tonda Iblea, Crasta and Nocellara del Belice.

Olives are selected one by one and are harvested rigorously by hand in the second half of October to ensure the wholesomeness of the product. It is an early harvest that contributes to the creation of a unique blend with exceptional organoleptic features.

All of the production phases are carried out in minute detail. Once olives are harvested, they are brought to the press within 12 hours and then they are cold pressed in state-of-the-art presses.

The next step is transporting the olive oil to the farm to be filtered and stocked in stainless steel silos and then stored with nitrogen at a constant and controlled temperature.

This process is necessary to protect the characteristics of the green gold of Sicily (all procedures are completed within 16/18 hours of the harvest).

Once the rest phase is completed, our olive oil is bottled and labelled, ready to be sold and consumed.
